TLDR: We have the roots but Hindu organizations need to understand how to work together to benefit society.

“Even the making of a temple by perfidy with dust one would reach heaven. It gets more benefits than those (got) being slain in the battle.” (Agni Puranam 38–7)

We have made many attempts to map the Singaporean Hindu society to explain how we would work together to bring our society to greater heights. This map below is a comprehensive example to understand how we can reach out to different organizations for different purposes. Trying to support different Hindu organizations and their goals have been particularly fulfilling to us. For example, by covering the various Kumbhabhishegams for temples (Shri Krishna Temple and Perumal Temple) we got behind-the-scenes footage and understood the deep work that Sthapatis (sculptors) do to design a temple. These events also provided us with beautiful content that we use to this day. We also regularly publish the events of all the organizations listed above that would benefit Hindu society.

The gold standard of community collaboration has to be attributed to Gita Jayanti, which has been running for so many years in conjunction with all the Hindu organizations in Singapore, and growing bigger every year. There are other examples of events spanning the diverse Hindu community, but none of them have been as consistent as Gita Jayanti. A realistic sharing from past organizers will be critical for us to understand how this is happening and how to ensure it continues.

Therefore, leveraging existing community events will be the best way to get the community enlightened. Our coverage of Shivaratri (2015, 2016) and Thaipusam (2016, 2018) showed how festivals can be covered to highlight the combined Bhakti that feels elusive in everyday life. Even simple quizzes on temples garner a lot of views and activity from the community. Therefore, serving these organizations in our community will always be beneficial.
